The OEM 2 piece was made to limit the amount of drivetrain vibrations. I felt a bit of vibrations at 50-60mph when I went to a Z1 1 peice. I even took it to a driveline shop to have it reblanaced. They said that Z1 used really cheap tubing, evident by the large welded seem, most SS tubing are DOM. But the shaft was already balance dead nuts. Not everyone has reported this vibration though. As far as weight saving and rotational mass, the Aluminum is not worth the money IMO. Even though there is a large difference in weight between the Z1 steel and OEM you don't really feel it. Rotational mass has more of an effect when it is a wheel. shafts spinning so close to it's axis that it isn't too much of a deal. Doubt the additional 2lbs (?) of weight saving is worth it. Carbon on the other hand...
